The Y Centre in Bridge Street is 21 years old this month. Being a youth focussed organisation it seems appropriate for Guildford YMCA to celebrate this coming of age!

So we have a weekend of celebrations planned, featuring a concert, a party and a Thanksgiving Service.

• FRIDAY
  The Santiago String Quartet are giving a concert with a South American flavour at Holy Trinity Church on the evening of Friday 24 September. Appropriate light refreshments will be on offer too! All profits will be in aid of Guildford YMCA's Life Change Fund.
  
• SATURDAY
  Current and past staff and Board members are invited to the party on Saturday evening. We have been given permission by neighbours Stevens & Bolton to hold this on their garden terraces overlooking the YMCA. The South African Church will be cooking a South African style barbecue for us. Known as a Braai (pronounced brigh) this promises to be a treat.
  
• SUNDAY
  St Nicolas Church, in whose parish the Y Centre is located, is kindly letting us hold a thanksgiving service at 6pm on Sunday 26 September. All are welcome to attend. This will also be the beginning of a Week of Prayer for the work of Guildford YMCA.

The Concert and Thanksgiving Service are open to all - tickets for the concert are available from Guildford YMCA or the Tourist Information Centre in Tunsgate..
